Student Career Fair
Saturday, February 22
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
SEMA Garage Detroit
14655 Jib St., Plymouth, MI 48170
Collegiate students searching for career opportunities and companies looking to recruit young talent are invited to join SAE Detroit Section, Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), and Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN) for a joint Career Fair at the new SEMA Garage Detroit.
SEMA purchased a 45,000-sq.-ft. building in the Detroit area to be used as a second SEMA Garage where manufacturers will have access to advanced product-development tools and equipment, a state-of-the-art emissions testing lab, an ADAS research and development center, and expert technicians who will help bring products to market.
Why should students attend?
This event will help teams be better prepared for Formula SAE® and Baja competitions with mock tech inspections and presentations. They will meet industry professionals who can potentially hire graduates and/or support student programs. It will be a great opportunity to check out the amazing SEMA Garage.
Why should professionals attend?
It’s the best local opportunity to meet a wide variety of college students as well as industry professionals. How else could you meet 100+ students from over a dozen universities in a single day?
What should school teams bring?
Bring your Formula, Baja, or Aero Design project, completed or not, and any presentation materials you have. Must register one week in advance to participate in the presentation judging.
What should students bring?

Is there a dress code?
This is a casual event. This is the perfect event to wear a logoed shirt or hat and show your school or company colors while connecting with others.
Important Note: You do not have to be an SAE student member to attend. Registration will close on February 14 and is complimentary for students. Companies looking to recruit are being asked to contribute $500 to underwrite the costs of the event. Lunch will be provided.
